Therapeutic Art Classes for Children in Singapore

Your child has so muchworldsstoriesfeelingscourage to say. Art helps them say it.

When children feel big emotions but don't yet have the words to express them, art becomes their language. Through therapeutic art, they build confidence, resilience, and belief in themselves.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You see it in their eyes. Something is weighing them down.

These are the moments that keep parents searching for help with emotional regulation, child confidence, and managing big feelings. You are not alone.

๐Ÿ˜ค

Angry All Day

Small triggers lead to big meltdowns. The anger feels constant and exhausting.

๐Ÿค

Silent and Withdrawn

They have stopped sharing how they feel. Getting through to them feels impossible.

๐Ÿ˜ฐ

Haunted by Fear

Fear of failure stops them before they even try. Confidence feels out of reach.

๐Ÿงน

Erase, Start Over

Nothing is ever "good enough." They tear up their work before anyone can see it.

๐Ÿ’”

Harsh Inner Critic

The voice in their head says "I'm stupid" or "I can't." It breaks your heart to hear it.

๐Ÿ”‹

No Drive, No Spark

Nothing excites them anymore. The curiosity and joy you used to see has dimmed.

How It Works

Art becomes the bridge to who they really are

Through art therapy for kids, children reconnect with their emotions, their courage, and themselves in a safe, calm studio.

1

They walk in carrying weight you cannot see

School pressure, social struggles, anxiety they cannot name. A gentle welcome and a blank canvas begin to dissolve the tension. No judgment. No rules about being "right."

2

Brushstrokes become a safe language

What they cannot say in words, they express in colour and form. Therapeutic art gently surfaces feelings, releases tension, and builds awareness. Healing happens naturally.

3

They leave calmer, braver, and proud

Every finished canvas is proof: "I did this. I can do hard things." Mistakes become experiments. Fear becomes curiosity. Quiet confidence takes root and grows.

Our Approach

Not art class. Art as therapy.

๐ŸŽจ

Therapeutic Art

Gentle brushstrokes help children manage emotions, release tension, and find calm. Art becomes a safe outlet for feelings words cannot reach.

๐ŸŒฑ

Growth Mindset

Mistakes become experiments. Every "oops" is reframed as discovery, building resilience and courage that extends far beyond the studio.

๐Ÿ’›

Heart-Centred Care

Every child is seen, heard, and guided with genuine empathy. Small class sizes ensure no one gets lost in the room.

Our Programmes

Three paths. One purpose: your child thriving.

Whether building emotional resilience, learning technique, or enjoying a creative art class for kids, there is a programme for every child.

Meet the Founder

20 years of watching children transform

Elfin Ng spent 13 years running an award-winning childcare centre before founding stART Studio. Two decades of working with children and parents taught her something profound: the sensitive children who struggle most are often the ones with the deepest potential.

stART Studio was born from a simple belief: every child deserves to feel safe enough to create, brave enough to try, and proud enough to keep going.

"Strong children aren't born. They are built. And it starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported."
I have watched hundreds of children walk into this studio feeling small. By the time they finish their first painting, something shifts. They stand taller. They smile bigger. That moment is why I do this every single day.

Real Changes Parents See

What shifts after a few sessions

These are the moments parents tell us about over WhatsApp, at pickup, and at parent-teacher meetings.

๐Ÿ˜Œ

Calmer after hard days

Children start using art as their go-to way to decompress. Meltdowns become less frequent, less intense.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Opens up about feelings

Painting gives them a vocabulary beyond words. They begin sharing what is on their mind, unprompted.

๐Ÿ’ช

Tries without fear of failing

The "I can't do it" reflex fades. They start taking risks, in art and in life, because mistakes feel safe here.

๐ŸŒŸ

Proudly shows their work

Children who used to tear up their drawings start displaying them at home. Confidence becomes visible.

Most parents notice a shift within the first 3 to 4 sessions.

Common Questions

Everything parents ask before the first session

Not at all. Most children who join us have never picked up a brush before. Our teachers guide every step, from mixing colours to completing the final brushstroke. The focus is on the experience and emotional journey, not technical perfection.

Many of our most confident students started with zero experience. That blank-canvas feeling is actually the perfect starting point for building courage.

Our Growth ART Coaching programme is designed for children aged 5 to 12. We also welcome teens and adults in our Skills-in-ART and Drop-In ART sessions.

We keep classes small (typically 4 to 6 children) so that every child gets individual attention. Your child will never feel lost or overlooked in our studio.

Traditional art classes focus on technique and output. At stART Studio, art is a therapeutic tool. Every session is designed to help children process emotions, build resilience, and develop a growth mindset through creative expression.

Our founder Elfin Ng brings over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and therapeutic art. Each lesson includes two programme units: one for skill-building, one for therapeutic reflection. You will also receive feedback on your child's emotional and creative progress.

The trial is a 1.5-hour guided painting session where your child creates a 20x30 cm canvas of their choice. All materials are provided. They take home the finished painting as a keepsake. There is no obligation to continue after the trial.

For families who sign up for a programme, Elfin offers a complimentary 15-minute Founder Insight Session: a 1-to-1 call where she shares a Growth Profile Observation highlighting your child's natural strengths, growth areas, and practical ways to communicate more effectively with your child as part of their developmental journey.

We are at #B1-06, Bukit Timah Plaza, 1 Jalan Anak Bukit, Singapore 588996. The studio is at basement level with easy access from the main entrance. Parking is available in the building.

We are open Tuesday to Friday from 12 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. We are closed on Mondays and public holidays. Message us on WhatsApp to check availability for your preferred day.

When you sign up for a programme, founder Elfin Ng offers a complimentary 15-minute 1-to-1 Founder Insight Session. During this call, she shares a personalised Growth Profile Observation based on your child's sessions.

She will highlight your child's natural strengths, identify possible growth areas, and give you practical ways to communicate more effectively with your child at home. Parents find this incredibly valuable as it bridges what happens in the studio with everyday life. This is exclusive to new programme members and is not part of the trial session.

Only 4 to 6 children per session.

Every child gets personal attention from their teacher. Spots are limited and fill quickly, especially on weekends.

Exclusive for New Programme Members
