When children feel big emotions but don't yet have the words to express them, art becomes their language. Through therapeutic art, they build confidence, resilience, and belief in themselves.

stART Studio is a therapeutic art studio in Bukit Timah, Singapore for children aged 5 to 12. Through guided painting, we build emotional well-being, confidence, and resilience, not just art skills.
Therapeutic art is a guided creative practice that uses the act of painting to help children process emotions, build self-belief, and find their voice when words fall short. Each session at stART Studio blends art-skill instruction with therapeutic reflection, led by founder Elfin Ng (20+ years in early childhood education).
These are the moments that keep parents searching for help with emotional regulation, child confidence, and managing big feelings. You are not alone.
Small triggers lead to big meltdowns. The anger feels constant and exhausting.
They have stopped sharing how they feel. Getting through to them feels impossible.
Fear of failure stops them before they even try. Confidence feels out of reach.
Nothing is ever "good enough." They tear up their work before anyone can see it.
The voice in their head says "I'm stupid" or "I can't." It breaks your heart to hear it.
Nothing excites them anymore. The curiosity and joy you used to see has dimmed.
In a safe, calm studio, children express their inner world through colours and creativity, reconnecting with their emotions, their courage, and themselves.
School pressure, social struggles, anxiety they cannot name. A gentle welcome and a blank canvas begin to dissolve the tension. No judgment. No rules about being "right."
What they cannot say in words, they express in colour and form. Therapeutic art gently surfaces feelings, releases tension, and builds awareness. Healing happens naturally.
Every finished canvas is proof: "I did this. I can do hard things." Mistakes become experiments. Fear becomes curiosity. Quiet confidence takes root and grows.
Gentle brushstrokes help children manage emotions, release tension, and find calm. Art becomes a safe outlet for feelings words cannot reach.
Mistakes become experiments. Every "oops" is reframed as discovery, building resilience and courage that extends far beyond the studio.
Every child is seen, heard, and guided with genuine empathy. Small class sizes ensure no one gets lost in the room.
Whether building emotional resilience, learning technique, or enjoying a creative art class for kids, there is a programme for every child.
Therapeutic art blended with growth coaching. Children release feelings, embrace challenges, and build quiet confidence that lasts.
Hands-on classes building fundamentals: drawing, colour theory, composition, and brushwork in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
Relaxed creative sessions for tote bags, figurines, candles, and more. Perfect for mindful fun with no commitment required.
Elfin Ng spent 13 years running an award-winning childcare centre before founding stART Studio. Two decades of working with children and parents taught her something profound: the sensitive children who struggle most are often the ones with the deepest potential.
stART Studio was born from a simple belief: every child deserves to feel safe enough to create, brave enough to try, and proud enough to keep going.
These are not just paintings. They are breakthroughs.

These are the moments parents tell us about over WhatsApp, at pickup, and at parent-teacher meetings.
Children start using art as their go-to way to decompress. Meltdowns become less frequent, less intense.
Painting gives them a vocabulary beyond words. They begin sharing what is on their mind, unprompted.
The "I can't do it" reflex fades. They start taking risks, in art and in life, because mistakes feel safe here.
Children who used to tear up their drawings start displaying them at home. Confidence becomes visible.
Discover how your child expresses, creates, and grows in confidence through therapeutic ART.
Your child is gently guided through a painting session that blends creativity with emotional expression. No experience needed.
A calm, supportive environment where children feel free to explore, experiment, and express their inner world through colours.
They leave with a finished 20x30 cm canvas masterpiece they created with their own hands. A proud moment every time.
Every child receives a special gift token to celebrate their courage and creativity. A keepsake to remember the day they started.

Not at all. Most children who join us have never picked up a brush before. Our teachers guide every step, from mixing colours to the final brushstroke. The focus is on the experience and emotional journey, not technical perfection. Many of our most confident students started with zero art experience.
Our Growth ART Coaching programme is designed for children aged 5 to 12. We also welcome teens and adults in our Skills-in-ART and Drop-In ART sessions. We keep classes small at 4 to 6 children, so every child gets individual attention.
Regular art classes teach technique. We build emotional well-being, and therapeutic art is our tool. Each lesson pairs skill-building with therapeutic reflection in a safe creative space, led by founder Elfin Ng (20+ years in early childhood education). Children leave with both a finished canvas and a stronger belief in themselves.
A 1.5-hour guided therapeutic art experience where your child paints a 20x30 cm canvas of their choice in a safe, supportive creative space. All materials provided. They take home the finished painting plus a special gift token celebrating their courage. No obligation to continue afterwards.
We are at #B1-06, Bukit Timah Plaza, 1 Jalan Anak Bukit, Singapore 588996. Basement level, easy access from the main entrance, parking in the building. Open Tuesday to Friday 12pm to 6pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am to 6pm. Closed Mondays and public holidays.
A complimentary 15-minute 1-to-1 call where founder Elfin Ng shares a personalised Growth Profile Observation about your child: their natural strengths, possible growth areas, and practical ways for you to communicate more effectively at home. Offered to families who continue the journey beyond the Discovery Session.
Painting gives shy children a non-verbal language. They express what they cannot yet say in words, and our small classes (4 to 6 children) protect them from the social pressure of larger groups. Over weeks, parents commonly see their child speak up more, try new things sooner, and trust their own ideas.
One session is enough to see whether your child connects with this approach. Most parents notice their child's pride and engagement on the same day. Lasting change in confidence and resilience builds over weeks of consistent practice, which is why families who continue typically commit to a programme.
Yes. Our small class sizes (4 to 6 children) and therapeutic-art approach work well for children who find regular classrooms overwhelming, including those with anxiety, neurodivergence, or sensory needs. Tell us about your child in the booking form and we will tailor the Discovery Session accordingly.
Every child gets personal attention from their teacher. Spots are limited and fill quickly, especially on weekends.
For families who continue the journey with us, Elfin personally invests in your child's growth with a complimentary 15-minute 1-to-1 call.
She will share a Growth Profile Observation tailored to your child, covering:
Your child paints a guided canvas and takes home a masterpiece they created with their own hands.
